My name is Lynsey Ettles and I am a professional, caring and enthusiastic Childminder. I provide a high quality Childcare service in a safe, friendly, relaxed home environment at affordable prices. Busy Bairns aims to provide a secure, stimulating happy 'home from home' setting for children newborn to 12 years old. I could never imagine doing anything else. I pride myself on being a friendly, approachable and supportive person, with a passion for working with children. It is truly a blessing to be able to help young ones reach their full potential and grow into amazing wee people.

Having been a working parent myself I have been through the process and anxieties of handing my children over to someone else to look after. I know that it isn't always easy to make that choice and understand how important it is to feel that you are leaving your child with someone who will care for them, stimulate and teach them and provide fun activities.
I strive to provide a homely routine and environment for the children. I love helping children to develop and their individual personalities fascinate me. Every child is unique and how they play, learn and grow is incredibly satisfying as a childminder to see, help and be a part of. Busy Bairns is based around family life and values that give children a secure place to develop and flourish.
Childminding in my home
I know how scary it can be to place your child in the care of a stranger. That’s why I make it a priority to provide a safe and inviting environment for all children I look after.
I am an experienced Child Care Provider who offers permanent, contracted full time and part time childcare and before/after school care. In the school holidays I offer a fun packed holiday club programme.
Play is a big part of our day. Through play children learn about themselves and the world around them. Play helps children develop confidence, self esteem and creativity. I am not one to shy away from getting the children outside during the day. We love getting our winter woollies on and going out to explore. I am passionate about going out with the children. This reflects my ethos when it comes to the importance of outdoor play.
I give each child that I look after the best care, attention and skills that I can for them to feel cared for, confident and to have had the best day everyday!!
Flexi-Minding
My experience has made it clear that parents often need a childcare provider on short notice. If you do not want to be tied with a fixed weekly contract but would rather have a very flexible arrangement which enables you to phone right up to the night before or even in the morning of the day you require childcare then this care is for you. No contract, just a booking form and consent forms required.

Opening hours
My opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am until 7pm.
If you require hours outwith these please let me know.
I currently drop off and collect children from Auldearn Nursery/primary school.
I am available at a weekend by prior arrangement.
